Mercy is a digital finance expert with international experience in financial inclusion and economic development in underserved communities. She has extensive experience in digital financial services as a service provider and a technical advisor to financial institutions, regulators and donors in markets across Africa and South Asia.
Prior to UNCDF, Mercy led the Digital Financial Services Department for BRAC International Microfinance. She also worked as a consultant for MicroSave, involved in the world’s largest initiative on strengthening the distribution of digital financial services in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia (Agent Network Accelerator project).
Mercy is a certified public accountant with a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Nairobi (Kenya) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the United States International University – Africa (Kenya).
