Paloma specializes in promoting transparency, security, and efficiency in international remittance markets. She has contributed to the global remittance agenda for the past decade by offering guidance and advice on implementing the WBG-CPMI Principles for International Remittance Services.

Paloma’s experience includes assessing, coordinating and implementing technical assistance projects in the areas of remittances and payment systems and streamlining central bank reporting in the Latin American and Caribbean region. She has contributed to an IOM project that advises African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries on how to leverage remittances for long-term development.

Paloma is a PhD student in Economics at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (Spain), holds a BA from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain), and an MBA in International Economics from the University of Birmingham (UK).
